The Oak Tree of Peover Wedding Venue: A Cheshire Guide
Set in around 30 acres of private Cheshire countryside in Lower Peover near Knutsford, The Oak Tree of Peover is an oak framed barn wedding venue with real character in every season. As a Cheshire wedding photographer who has spent a golden autumn day here, I think it deserves a place on your shortlist.
The Grounds and Setting
The venue sits among mature trees, open lawns and a peaceful pond, which means you can step outside for relaxed wedding portraits without going far from your guests. In autumn the surrounding leaves turn to the most beautiful golden shades.
There is also a thatched summerhouse in the grounds, which makes a lovely backdrop for group photographs.
Ceremony Spaces
The Oak Tree of Peover has three licensed ceremony spaces: the Ladybird Room, the Acorn Room and the Outdoor Pavilion. For Rachael and Craig, the oak framed barn made a stunning setting, with rose petals along the aisle and light flooding through the roof windows.
Small details, from greenery wrapped doorways to ribbons and candles, turn the barn into a warm, romantic ceremony room.
Getting Ready
The bridal suite is bright and airy, with exposed oak beams and roof windows, and plenty of room for a bridal party to relax together before the ceremony.
Wedding Breakfast and Styling
The venue can seat up to 108 guests for the ceremony and wedding breakfast and welcomes up to 180 for the evening. Its oak beams are a beautiful backdrop for styling, from candles and autumn flowers to a floral arch behind the top table. Exclusive use means the whole venue is yours for the day.
A wedding cake on a wooden slice stand fits the barn style perfectly.
Evening Celebrations
As night falls the barn becomes a warm, candlelit space for dancing, and the atmosphere in the evening is one of my favourite things about weddings here.
