A Magical Pre Wedding Shoot at Sandon Hall
As a Sandon Hall wedding photographer, I loved every moment of Amy and Sam’s pre-wedding shoot here. We were lucky enough to get a sprinkling of snow, which added a dreamy, romantic feel to their photos. So, the crisp air and soft snowfall made the whole experience feel extra special, and we had so much fun making the most of it.
Sandon Hall: A Staffordshire Stately Home
Sandon Hall is an incredible venue, full of history and charm. This stately home, set in the Staffordshire countryside, has been in the Harrowby family for generations and is known for its stunning architecture and grand interiors. It’s no surprise that it’s such a sought after wedding venue. The combination of beautifully manicured gardens and an elegant, character filled house makes for the perfect backdrop.
Snow Falling Inside Sandon Hall
Inside, we were completely captivated by the magnificent rooms, from the rich wood panelling to the sweeping staircases. Every corner of the hall offered something unique. Amy and Sam’s excitement for their big day was clear to see, and capturing their connection in such a grand yet intimate space was truly lovely. Meanwhile, with the snow gently falling outside and the warmth of Sandon Hall’s interiors, this session felt like something out of a fairytale.

Why Choose Megan Maxwell as Your Wedding Photographer
I am a documentary wedding photographer with an editorial flair, based in Cheshire and covering the UK, Europe and worldwide on digital and 35mm film. Before becoming a full time wedding photographer I spent almost fifteen years as a director at the BBC making children’s television. That is where I learned the art of storytelling, how to make people feel comfortable and when to step in or step back.
I let your day unfold naturally and only guide moments when they need it. You will not spend hours posing. Instead I will take around fifteen minutes to slip away with you for a handful of portraits that are rich in colour and look like you and then it is straight back to the party.
Every collection includes full day coverage from bridal prep to the dance floor with no set number of hours, travel, a pre wedding consultation, previews within 48 hours and a private online gallery. I am also available on WhatsApp throughout your planning. You can see everything that is included on my investment page.
